about

This song for me is about struggling to
accept my sexuality growing up in a
strongly conservative environment.

There was the pressure felt that if
I did come out I suddenly would have to
lose an element of "innocence", and in a
way it felt like a part of me was going
to die. In this case it was the fear of
being perceived by others as "sinful"
for simply loving someone of the same
gender. I still carry that fear at times.
It's not something that has died, but
it's something that is slowly being buried.

The last few lines ( sung perfectly by the
fantastic Fern ) are the voice of something
better calling to me. It's a rebirth, and
a letting go of fear, it's a struggle
to love unconditionally.

The more I live the more I realize
we have to set love as the focus in everything.
No longer letting gender, religion, race,
or background influence how we treat
others. In everything love unconditional

lyrics

Hold my hand
For I am a wandering creature
Take off your clothes
Be both the Saint
And the sinner

I don't want to be loved
I don't want to be loved
I don't want to be loved...
I just want to be touched

Wait in line for the next
On coming disaster
I have made up
In my mind
I'm the thief,
I'm the cancer

I don't want to die
No, I don't want to die
No, I don't want to die
I don't want to be left behind

I am an statue I can not be moved
I am a river come drown in me ( x2).
